The Short Version
RideReady does not collect any personal information. Your ride templates, checklists, and history belong entirely to you. The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous, non-identifiable usage and crash data solely to improve app quality.
Data Storage
All data you create in RideReady — including ride templates, checklist items, categories, and ride history — is stored in one of two places:
- Locally on your device
- In your personal, private iCloud account (if you choose to enable iCloud sync)
The developer has no ability to access, view, or retrieve any data stored on your device or in your iCloud account. Your data is yours alone.
Analytics & Crash Reporting
RideReady uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google, to understand how the app is used and to detect and fix crashes.
These services collect:
- Anonymous app usage events (e.g., app opened, tabs visited, rides started or completed)
- Anonymous crash reports including device model, OS version, and app state at the time of the crash
- A pseudonymous, per-install Firebase Installation ID — this is a randomly generated identifier that is not linked to your name, Apple ID, or any other personal identity
No personal information is attached to any of these events or reports. The data is used solely to improve RideReady's stability and user experience and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
This data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
What We Do Not Collect
RideReady never collects:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Location data
- Health or fitness data
- The content of your ride templates or checklists
- Any information that can identify you personally
No Account Required
RideReady does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with any service. The app works fully without any form of registration or identification.
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. This sync happens directly between your devices through Apple's infrastructure. The developer does not operate any servers and has no access to your iCloud data.
You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's settings. When disabled, all data is stored locally on your device only.
In-App Purchases
RideReady Pro is available as an in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. All purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. The developer does not receive or store any payment information, billing details, or financial data.
Children's Privacy
RideReady does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under 13. The anonymous analytics described above do not include any personally identifiable information.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Because RideReady does not collect contact information, we cannot notify users directly — please check this page periodically.
